The printer started working after I threatened to turn it over to the Parent Organization. So the short is on its way to an unsuspecting publisher and I'm making up a list of more unsuspecting pubs to send it to, if (let's be positive,here), if- not when, the first publisher decides its "not for them."

In other not-so-exciting news, when I got elected as Board Advisor for my professional women's group, I was warned I'd have deal with a lot of sh*&t. But hey, the year is nearly 1/4 over, and I just got my first boatload this week. I figure I did all right. But it's true: we're taking adult women here, and it still sort of feels like middle school. I clearly remember my daughters coming home from 7th grade with similar stories.

The catty girls grew up to be catty women. The ones who figure the rules don't apply to them, since they're speshul. The ones who "would never __________" (you fill in the blank), but always do and can't recognize it in themselves.

And here is impatient me, trying to deal with it. I always want to walk away from bullies. Just kick them out of the group and get on with my life, because I don't think they're worth my time. So I'm having a learning experience, here: it is necessary to practice diplomacy and see if we can get people to cooperate. Don't be so fast to pull the trigger.

Oh well. Nine months to go.

Don't you wish there was some way that all the women could just leave the country? 

Really. 

Let the men have the country to themselves, with no women around at all. That way, the men don't have to worry about those women who are not dressed right. Just think of all the peace and quiet they could have then.
