Getting Older

Anybody ever had a "flasher"? At least, that's what my husband's doctor called it, and no, it doesn't involve old men or trench coats. It's a weired sparkly light in your eye that sort of gets between you and what you want to look at. It's shaped like a crescent moon and it's there no matter if you close one eye or the other. Which makes me think it's in the brain, somewhere.

My husband has been getting them for a year or more. His doctor says they're normal as we age, and it's nothing to worry about.

So.

I had my first one on Sunday and another one this morning. Both occurred while I was reading the paper. I wonder if the small print has something to do with it.

So far, they only last about 10 minutes, then it's back to normal. Who knew stuff like happens to people?
